Hangover is usually caused by drinking too much alcohol. Taking excessive alcohol decreases the essential nutrients of the body such as vitamins, minerals, water and blood sugar.

Natural Home Remedies for Hangover

Following are some of the effective home remedies for hangover:



1. Add one teaspoon lime juice and a pinch of cumin powder in a glass of fresh orange juice and drink it daily. It will give hangover relief from both alcohol and drug-induced hangover.
2. Drink coconut water. It is very effective home remedy for hangover.
3. Prepare a juice by adding one teaspoon lime juice, 1/2 teaspoon sugar and a pinch of salt in a glass of water and add 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda just before drinking it. It is also common hangover natural cure.
4. Drink banana milkshake sweetened with honey for quick hangover relief.
5. Take Chicken soup. It is an effective hangover home remedy
6. Add the juice of one lemon to a cup of black coffee. Do not add sugar and milk. It is also a common natural cure for hangover.
7. Drink a tangy drink, such as tomato juice by adding one lemon juice to stop the urge for alcohol.

1. Avoid drinking alcohol
2. Drink plenty of water before going to bed and early morning to reduce dehydration
3. Take fruit, vegetables, juices and honey
4. Avoid tea or coffee
5. Take Vitamin C rich diet as it increases the rate of alcohol breakdown in the body
